Latinka Minkova

Latinka born in Pernik, a city in Bulgaria. She has graduated from a construction college in her hometown and then completed her University at D. A. Academy of Economics – Svishtov, Bulgaria. Latinka worked for a while as an artist and sociologist but found her place in journalism in 1985.

Latinka’s paintings are owned by art lovers in Bulgaria, Italy, England, Belgium, Russia, Spain, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Qatar, Israel, USA, France, Serbia, Latvia, Finland, Sweden and Germany.

Latinka is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, the Confederation of Bulgarian Writers and the Union of Bulgarian Artists – Pernik Group. Latinka have written seven books, some of them are Life an Exquisite Tragedy (published by Z. Stoyanov), Under the Curved Pear (IC Thirst – Sliven), Concerto for Harpsichord and Stone (Izdavam.com – Pleven) The Adventures of Dinolando (Serdika IT)

In 1996 Latinka won First Prize in the competition for journalistic material Fashion – Smirnoff. In 2009 Latinka got Award of the Club of Cultural Figures (KDK) for contribution to the cultural life of Sliven. At the National Orpheus Lyre Competition (May 2018) Latinka awarded the First Prize for the feuilleton “Fighting Corruption”. At the International competition with over 2000 participants “Picture of many” for 2018 Latinka received the most prestigious statuette “Knight of the brush”.
So far Latinka participated in 18 solo exhibitions in Pernik, Sliven, Pazardzhik, Yambol, Burgas, Pleven, Riga (Latvia) and participation in many regional municipal exhibitions, and in 2021 participation in an exhibition-competition for watercolorists from around the world.

Latinka’s pictures and articles are used in the Psychological Psychotherapy company in Switzerland.
