Abhijit a late starter in this field is on his way to transform his irregular amateur hobby into professional skill which happened only after leaving his regular job of finance, accounts. Born in a middle-class family in 60s in an era when Art was not much encouraged as a profession or even as a hobby. But nature and art has always been an attraction to him and nature being the prime subject to him for art.
It was only after leaving his job with MNCs and others in mid-2018, he took this passion on a serious mode and started nurturing it. He did not have any professional training as such but now he proudly declares himself as a “Self-Taught Artist “. The fellow artists during this period became friends and learnt many skills and techniques from them for which he still extremely grateful to them.
Watercolour has always been his forte among all the mediums, and he loves to play and experiment a lot with them. Abhijit also loves doing pen and pencil sketches. The subject matter for him has mostly, been the nature, which he captures during his limited travels. He also refers to photographs of nature and translate them into a painting.
His first interaction in this field was through a group of Artists in early 2019 through “Mystery of Watercolour “-a Social Media Watercolour group which met physically in a workshop and Art Camp.
There after few more workshops organised by Watercolour Society of India and their group artists which were attended and participated by him.
Abhijit Came in touch with many artists who always have been honest enough in putting their feedbacks and inputs to contribute to helping him in improving his work in terms of techniques and skills.
Abhijit participated in many solo and group exhibitions and appreciated by all the fellow artists and art lovers.
