Shripad Chilakwad

Shripad an 84-year veteran artist cum sculptures expert is a retired govt. servant from Pune a city of Maharashtra, India.

Shripad’s Wood carving and painting being maintained by him as hobby for the past 55+ years. Both these hobbies have been self-developed, and he does not have any academic education of both arts.

As per Shripad all these his arts works are just for self-satisfaction, no exhibition carried out, nor any attempt to sell.

Three types of artworks being practiced. Sculpture, relief, and painting. All these are in his personal collections only.

Shripad’s has huge collections of Sculpture and painting around 200 each and relief s about 50.

As per Shripad these hobbies are very much helpful to me at this advanced age, as I can enjoy myself without depending on anybody, which is a necessity for old age but to achieve present level of art, I would like to state that I have started at a very young age and continued practice, consistently. These arts require a lot of time to achieve, presentable level.
